TERAS Cloud-Tolling Solution
With the advancement of technology, toll payment solution has evolved to better safeguard revenue collection and enable faster vehicle throughput which leads to new concepts where the conventional plaza arrangement gives way to Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) solution.
TERAS Cloud-Tolling Architecture is preparing for Plaza (less) Operations to support MLFF Gantry-only environment. Essentially, the Cloud-Tolling solution aims to reduce operating costs, reporting time and the number of hops/jumps for data to be visible. Every lane becomes an IoT device feeding directly in real-time to the Cloud Toll Engine.
The Network Architecture has also changed from a single Internet Gateway (thus single point of catastrophic failure) to several Internet Gateways along the highways.
